Lillian and I would like to
thank the Editors and Staff of our Newsletter for this opportunity to
greet all our fellow Tanjayanons wherever they may be. We wish
you and your friends and loved ones the best and abundant success in
all your endeavors. Likewise, in behalf of the Officers of
the Tanjay Association USA, I would like to thank the
members of this Association for their trust and their show of
cooperation in all our undertakings. It is therefore with great
pride and confidence that I join the Editors and Staff when they coolly
proclaim: “Together we’re the best!”

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
(Special to Tanjayanons)
1. Throw out
nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.
Let the doctor worry about
them. That is why you pay him.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The
grouches and pessimists pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Take a hobby.
Learn to dance, or sing or play the piano. Learn more about the
computer, crafts,
gardening, cooking, whatever. Never let the brain
idle. "An idle mind is the devil's
workshop." (And the
devil's name is Alzheimer's.)
4. Enjoy the simple things: a stroll in the
park, chatting with friends, listening to the rain, a baby’s
giggle.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you
gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move
on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is
ourselves. Be ALIVE while
you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love,
whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants,
hobbies,
whatever. Your home is your
refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good,
preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what
you can
improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the
mall, to another city, to a foreign country,
but NOT to where the guilt
is.
10.Tell the people you love that you love them, at
every opportunity. Do it while they’re still
around.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we
take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Paciano C. Cornelio, Bangkok, Thailand)

Inspiring Quotes for Valentines
1. Just
because someone doesn’t love you the way you want her to, doesn’t
mean she does not love
you with all that she
has.
2. The worst way to miss someone
is to be sitting right beside her knowing you can’t have her.
3. Never frown even when you are
sad because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
4. A true friend is someone who
reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
5. Do not cry because it is over,
smile because it happened.
