Vol 1, Num 5 (Aug -Oct, 1996) ------------ Page 1------------- ANG TANJAYANON NEWSLETTER
MA-O G'YUD 'TOY FIESTANG TINANJAY !!
Tanjayanons Still Bask in the Glow of a Truly Memorable 3-day Fiesta Celebration

You had to be there to know what we're talking about. Ang ka-lami wala pa jud mawala. (Ma-o gani ning na-dugay-dugay ang atong newsletter kay hangtud karon si Falang is suffering from after-fiesta kamingaw. Si Danny ning-pauli sa Manila to attend the first anniversary of his late brother Gerry's death, and Braddock is studying for an exam harong ma-ta-asan ang iyang sweldo kay wala kono siya'y makita ni-aning atong Newsletter, ho, ho, ho, ho!)

How successful was it? Tan-awa lamang ang retrato on the right... .Pangutan-a lang ang kadaghang mga out-of-towners nga ning-attend, panimati-a ang mga com-ments such as, "Karon pa mi mag-kita after more than 40 years!" and "Lupig pa ang tambal ni-aning atong pag-bati, to see so many of us together!" - unya tan-awa pud ang atong balance sheet (pronounced jud with the long "e" sound!), kay sa Program ads lamang, bawi na tanan - (labi nag mamayad na sila!). . bisa'g hapit ta na-censored with our "Oblation" picture showing Ablot in all his glory!.. (Ato unya 'tong ipa-enlarge ug himo-ong cover sa next year's souvenir program, instead of Sr. Santiago - pero basi'g gaba-an ta!)

Pero ug lami man jud ang atong Fiesta dire sa Amerika, maka-limbarut pud ug balhibo ang estorya in this issue gikan sa atong "Tanjay correspondent" nga Si Tia Tutang, who gives her blow-by-blow (or, should we say, parade-by-parade) account of their version of the Tanjay Fiesta 1996. Medyo baga-baga jud ning atong newsletter karon, kay daghan pong mga retrato. Gapa-sabut jud mi nga kinahanglan kad-tong dili pa BOLD ang mga ngalan (if you know what we mean, he, he, he ) kina-hanglan mang-amut sa membership fee harong duna mi'y ma-tilapang mga postage stamps....

Usa nato basahon ang mga estorya, here is one reminder: BALIK-TANJAY '97. You should start planning your re-unions now. (Read all the other Balik-Tanjay details inside.) Also, there's the Mystery Picture of the Year Grand Prize Winner inside. See if you can identify them. Finally, daghang salamat sa inyong mga pag-dayeg sa atong Newsletter staff! Sus, you just don't know how much fun we have in preparing each issue: estorya, katawa, panglibak, ha, ha, ha!)
