Mr. Archimedes S. Marquez urges the public to compare Deputy Minister Jose Conrado Benitez and Assemblyman Leonardo B. Perez (Malaya, Mar. 8) and thereby realize what a great and talented person Mr. Benitez really is.

This is a hell of a way to make Mr. Benitez look good.

Mr. Marquez’ letter is a sad commentary on the level of public esteem in which Mr. Benitez is held.

It may be a sad commentary on the mentality of Mr. Benitez’ admirers. I say "may be" because the more I think about it, the more I suspect that Mr. Marquez is not a supporter of Mr. Benitez but an enemy posing as a friend.
