UPSCA Alumni Group Meeting The Upsca group met - where else - at the Gil residence on Saturday, Feb 17. The food was good - low-fat, low-calorie. After the eating, there was a lot of singing, with Jessie Pangilinan at the piano. After the singing, there was the dancing, spear-headed by Rey & Ollie Sanidad who gave a tango exhibition, and "outsider" Falang gave lessons on the latest dance craze in the Philippines, Macarena (igso-on kono sa macaroni'.). Tia Taning Navarro gave a party com-memorating the birthday of her late hus-band, former Judge Jose B. Navarro at the residence of Bert and Quirining in Palos Verdes. In attendance were Tia Ririggie, Matchoy and Fern Teves-Cruz, Braddock and Alice Calumpang, Badingding and Danny Gil, Tio Temiong and Tia Ita Cusio with (heir daughier and driver Tita, Joaquin Villegas, Hati Zerna-CoIgrove, Melo Teves, Emily Teves, and a whole lot more. (Trivia; Tio Joe was born on February 29 and every leap year and for as long ago as we can remember, his family and friends in Tanjay gave him a very special celebration which, because of his many friends, relatives, clients and well-wishers, usually took 2 days-) Jing Flores Oubichon (kaluha ning Marilu, anak ning Anhing Tio Nene ug Tia Nita Flores) is now living in Highlands, California (near Sacramento with her husband, Ron (who is a manager of a K-Mart store). Congratulations are in order: Jing was one of two (out of 21 applicants'.) who passed the California Medical Assistants Certification and was an honoree at the CMA Association banquet. She also reports that last January, Josephine Jones-Tsbaloc hosted a get-together at her residence, commemorating Anhing Isiong Tsbaloc's death. Many Tanjayanons attended the event. Inday Rue Sibala reports that her daughter, Isabel, recently gave birth to twin girls. Also, Ablot and Viring became Lolo and Lola for the first time, courtesy of their daughter Agnes The new apo will be named Alphonso Pablito, ang angga kono will be A & P.
