The National Democratic Front’s (NDF) Man-in Europe, Luis Jalandoni, correctly predicts that many people will protest fraudulent conduct of the elections (MT. Feb. 13). But it does not follow that they will join the NDF or the Bagong Alyasang Makabayan (BAYAN).

The more logical prediction is that the angered supporters of Mrs. Corazon Aquino will gear their organizations toward more militant post-election activities. They are not about to join BAYAN or NDF which not only boycotted the elections but attacked and ridiculed everyone who voted.

The most that BAYAN and NDF can hope for is that their affiliates who left these organizations to participate in the elections (and there are tens of thousands of them) will return to the fold.
