A lawyer is obligated to provide his client with the best possible defense, but I cannot see how "the best possible defense" can include an agreement whereby one of the judges coaches the lawyer in the conduct of his cross-examination, using court employees as carriers of these coaching instructions.

Despite this unprofessional behavior, the cross-examination of Miss Mariemil Quijano has been so bad as to raise serious doubts about the quality of the coaching provided by that supposedly impartial gentleman who clearly has no business sitting on the bench of the Sandigbayan.
