I cannot understand why Commissioner Ramon Diaz wants to bar the Soriano family from buying the San Miguel Corporation shares allegedly owned by Mr. Eduardo Cojuangco.

I agree with Commissioner Diaz that Mr. Conjuangco should not be able to retain (much less, profit from) his ill-gotten gains.

But this objective could be met by sequestering whatever monies the Sorianos pay for these shares of stock.

Why does Commissioner Diaz seem to be more interested in the stock than in the money?
