J. P. Fenix and his editor, Luis Beltran, should be told that the singular of "alumni" is "alumnus" (Inquirer, Mar. 25-31). Beltran should be reminded to edit copy with the thoroughness, care, and concern for grammar that one would expect from a professor of journalism at the University of the Philippines.
