Letter to the Editor
Madam:

Mr. Jose Ma. Nolasco was terribly unfair to Ambassador Roberto S. Benedicto and Minister J. Conrado Benitez when he quoted the prediction that a full account of Mr. Benedicto’s management of the National Sugar Trading Corporation would make Mr. Benitez’ alleged capers look penny-ante (Mr. & Ms., Feb. 15-21).

Neither gentlemen, I am sure, was flattered by the comparison.

Patterns of acquisition should not be compared with patterns of spending.
