Although former Member of Parliament Homobono Adaza is not one of my favorite politicians, I enthusiastically endorse his nomination as a regent of the University of the Philippines (The Times, Apr. 31).

I will not be the only UP alumnus who would enjoy the irony of having on the UP’s governing board a person whom the University expelled nearly 30 years ago.
