There are many bad things Joly Benitez has been accused of doing but nothing is so nauseating as his having left two suitcases of money with his aged mother.

In so doing, he exposed her to the risk of being raided and being pictured in the press as some sort of police character.

Worse, by leaving an unlicensed firearm with her, he left this 70-year-old woman open to a long jail sentence.

How could a man do this to his mother?
