The public owes Atty. Garchitorena a vote of thanks for pointing out that the Tanadas are no different from the Marcoses in that members of both families believe themselves to be so far above the law that they can violate other people’s constitutional rights with impunity (MALAYA, Aug.13).

Apparently, the only difference between the Tanadas and the Marcoses is that the latter are in power.

But this hasn’t stopped at least one Tanada from violating other people’s constitutional rights, apparently with the full support of the clan.
