Dear Editor:

Though I will be the first to admit that the National Computer Center’s Col. Pedro Baroaidan, Ph.D. has demonstrated far less professionalism than his employees who walked out, I cannot stomach the viciousness of Luis D. Beltran’s personal attacks on the good colonel.

I would expect that of all people, Mr. Beltran should be the first to accord to Colonel Baroaidan the same kind of tolerant understanding that Mr. Beltran himself yearned for after he signed the Vanguard fraternity manifesto supporting Gen. Fabian Ver.

I wonder whether Mr. Beltran would vilify Colonel Baroaidan with such malicious gusto if the colonel had been a member of the Vanguard fraternity instead of being a West Point alumnus.
