On March 20, I wrote a letter critical of Bishop Erano Manalo’s enjoyment of "the free use of a Mercedez Benz 450 anomalously withdrawn from the Bureau of Customs."

Between the time I wrote this letter and the time it was published in Midday (Mar. 25), the bishop’s spokesman pointed out that the original report was in error and gave a plausible explanation for how such an error might have been committed.

I apologize to Bishop Manalo for any embarrassment my letter may have caused him.
