Au-Au’s Sister

Columnist Maximo V. Soliven exaggerates (Inquirer, January 8) when he says that in the last Batasan elections, a vote for Au-Au Pijuan Manotoc was a vote against Mayor Nemesio Yabut. Many Makati residents will say they were voting against the entire Marcos administration.

When I cast my ballot for Au-Au, I felt I was striking a blow for deserted wives, jilted girlfriends, and other wronged and exploited women in our country.

When I voted for Au-Au, I was voting against Tommy Manotoc and men like him!
