Please thank Mrs. Belinda Olivares-Cunanan for "Oppositionists’ endearing traits" (Special Edition, Dec. 20) which has reassured me that certain politicians I have no use for, e.g., Ambrosio Padilla, Hjalmar Quintana, Homobozo Adaza, Raffy Recto, and Kit Tatad, have certain redeeming qualities after all.

I am happy to note that Ms. Cunanan has remained just as idealistic and charitable as the Belinda Olivares I knew at Diliman some 30 years ago.
