Veritas letters

While you have no control over the contents of the letters sent you by your readers, you can select which letters to publish. One would expect that fair comment and absence of malice would be the criteria for selection.

You can therefore understand my deep disappointment over your decision to publish three letters all dripping with malice toward Deputy Minister J. Conrado Benitez (Veritas, Feb. 3). I find it hard to believe that so much rage and viciousness could be packed in so few paragraphs.

No man, not even Mr. Benitez, deserves to be exposed to such public ridicule.
