Mr. Luis D. Beltran
PERSONAL
Editor/Columnist
Dear Mr. Beltran:

I cannot understand how the Inquirer can do the following:

1. Ask its readers for understanding for poor lay-out, late deliveries, etc. because the paper is just a couple of months old while refusing to extend a similar kind of understanding toward the Ministry of Public Information which is less than two weeks old;

2. Condemn the non-abolition of the Office of media Affairs (OMA) while J. P. Fenix, one of its reporters, bewails the absence of these services, e.g., schedules, news releases that OMA used to provide (PDI, Mar. 10);

3. Claim that no Filipino photographer was allowed to take pictures at the inauguration of the Cabinet members when in fact, Linglong Ortiz was credited with the photograph that came out in Malaya; and

4. Criticize the inaccurate information provided by volunteers in the Cory Aquino Media Bureau while committing such boo-boos as accusing Member of Parliament Helena Z. Benitez of pocketing P21 million.
