Letters / MR. & MS. SPECIAL EDITION

Although Mr. Warren Fidelino accuses me of things I never did, e.g., "accept[ing] with open arms the likes of Enrile and Ramos" (Special Edition, Apr. 4), I thank him for reminding the public that for many years, Etta Rosales, Maita Gomez and people like them were "being gassed, truncheoned, or worse, shot at."

Next time Rosales and Gomez parade themselves as leaders of the revolution, I promise Mr. Fidelino I will not accuse them of credit-grabbing, as I did last month (Special Edition, Mar. 14).

Instead, I will pityingly attribute their delusions of grandeur to the screws that must have been loosened and lost while they were being gassed and truncheoned.
