This will make of record my unswerving support for Member of Parliament Blas Ople’s call for a thorough investigation of the United States’ role in the revolt which threw Mr. Marcos out of the country and Mr. Ople out of the Cabinet.

Mr. Ople himself should chair this investigating body. It should start work immediately after Mr. Ople is excused from further testimony before the many probe bodies (some yet to be created) investigating all the crimes of the Marcos era.

I am assuming, of course, that these probe bodies will not indict Mr. Ople for complicity in any of the Marcos wrongdoings. Otherwise, Mr. Ople could start work immediately after being acquitted or after serving his sentence(s), as the case my be.
