While it is true that hardly anything newsworthy takes place during Christmas week, I see absolutely no justification for devoting two pages of your magazine (Dec. 27) to the wedding of one of your staff members.
I could not probably stretch a point if the bride were one of your editors or more professional staff writers, not a person who cannot tell the difference between journalism and stenography.
The bride’s outlook and writing are so infantile (even for a woman aged 22) that an editor has to give her an occasional byline to enable the more professional staff members to deny authorship of such pieces as a student election story consisting mainly of self-serving statements of the loser (Special Edition, Sep. 13).
