Dean Francisco Nemenzo, Jr. has warned that the exposure of the massive investments made abroad by President Marcos and his cronies may well be a CIA ploy to divert our attention from "the real culprit behind wealth expropriation which is US imperialism" (MALAYA, July 28).

I look forward to the day when Lt. Gen. Fidel Ramos informs Dr. Nemenzo that our law enforcement agencies had finally identified the person who had shot Dr. Nemenzo’s son at a demonstration some time ago.

On that day, I expect Dr. Nemenzo to accuse General Ramos of being party to a CIA operation at diverting the Nemenzo family’s attention from US imperialism "which is the real culprit" behind shootings at student demonstrations.
