Describing Rosemarie Abundo as a "rabid champion" of Dr. Conrado Benitez, Mr. Eric Ferrer says that this woman has been giving a false address and may be even using a false name (Special Edition, April 18).

Mr. Ferrer is absolutely right: my real name is not Rosemarie Abundio nor do I live at 207 Manrique Street.

Why the masquerade?

Simple. I may be crazy enough to esteem the good Dr. Benitez most highly. But to use my real name when saying nice things about him? Please, I'm not that crazy!

Much as I may value Dr. Benitez's reputation, I do not value it highly enough to besmirch my own!

Please indulge me by allowing me the use of a false name and address for the last time.
