I protest the way Minister of Local Governments-designate Aquilino Pimentel is throwing out as many elective local officials as he can replace with his own partymen.

While I deeply regret Mr. Pimentel’s appointment, I am comforted by the thought that President Aquino did not make the mistake of choosing him as her vice-presidential candidate.

And I am personally appalled by the realization that all these tears, I had mistakenly believed that between Mr. Pimentel and his wife, she was the more dangerous member of the pair.
